Newfoundland Photography Workshop

Have you always wondered what it would be like staying in your very own lighthouse? How about staying in two of them on one vacation?

Do icebergs captivate you? If they do, there is no better place than iceberg ally in Newfoundland.

How about a visit to the two UNESCO World Heritage sites of Gros Morne and L’Anse Aux Meadows where Vikings first visited North America?

In 2019 I am returning to Newfoundland with a focus on iceberg alley, humpback whales, landscapes, lighthouses, night skies and the endless seascapes.

We will begin our time together as we live the life of a lighthouse keeper overlooking the entrance to “Iceberg Alley”... the large tabular or cathedral icebergs are being drawn down the current and you are in the perfect spot to see them as they start their final journey.

Here we will hear the Whales’ call echoing off massive icebergs in our own private cove and hopefully awaken to the sounds of the Humpbacks calling you across vast stretches of the North Atlantic. From this location, we will explore the rugged landscape made famous in “The Shipping News”, the Pulitzer prize-winning novel and Kevin Spacey movie.

Together we will head south along the Viking Trail. Winding through Gros Morne National Park, the varied landscapes will beckon to be photographed. From L’Anse Aux Meadows, past the rugged shoreline of Western newfoundland, we head further south to the Codroy Valley where we end up at our second private lighthouse inn of this magnificent journey.

Its never too early to secure your space. These trips always sell out and there are spaces taken already for my 2019 trip.

All the details on my trip can be seen here… Have you always wondered what it would be like staying in your very own lighthouse? How about staying in two of them on one vacation?

Photography Workshops in Canada

If you weren’t already considering Canada for your next vacation, you definitely should be now. Why? Lonely Planet named Canada as the Best Country to Travel to in 2017 and the New York Times raked Canada #1 in their 52 places in a year, meaning there’s no time like the present to join me in Canada — as they both put it, it’s a destination you cannot afford to miss.

I am sure you have your own reasons to venture up north, but here are a few more to give you a little push.

If you are a lover of wildlife, did you know we’re known for bears, whales, eagles, beavers and more? And if you play your cards right, pretty much any trip up north will have you viewing wildlife you can’t spot anywhere else.

Head to the east coast with me and spot over 22 species of whales or check out polar bears and belugas in the arctic.

Head up north with me and spot Canada’s apex preditors like Polar Bear, Canada Lynx and Wolves.

Head to the west coat with me and spot Bald Eagles, Grizzly Bear and Black Bear

Check out my wildlife photo tours and workshops that I offer in Canada here… http://www.kevinpepperphotography.com/wildlife-workshops-in-canada

For the landscape photographer Canada offers an array of opportunities. Below are just a few reasons why you should look at Canada.

Did you know we offer some of the best spots in the world to view and photograph the northern lights?

We have more water than anywhere else on the planet and this means a whole lots of coastline. Head out on the open ocean in New Brunswick to spot whales putting on a show or get to know the West Coast by kayak or float plane. No matter which province or territory you visit, you’ll never be far from a pristine lake or ever-changing tide.

From the Rocky Mountains in the north, to the great lakes in Ontario, the shorelines of eastern Canada, and everywhere in between, a landscape photographer is never too far from their next favourite photograph.

Check out my landscape photo tours and workshops that I offer in Canada here… http://www.kevinpepperphotography.com/canadian-landscape-workshops

I hope to see you in Canada in the next few years. If you did not see a destination you want to visit in my line up of trips, please contact me. Sometimes all the destinations I travel to do not make the website.

Iceland Photography Workshop

My first trip will be in March. Here you can join me in Iceland, with a small group of 8 guests, as we take you on the hunt for the perfect light and amazing landscapes at this most beautiful arctic paradise.
Led by myself and and Skarpi PrĂ¡insson, we will explore the surreal landscapes, seascapes, fjords, waterfalls, mountains, lakes, rivers, northern lights, and stars that are the beauty of Iceland.
Over 9 days and 8 nights we’ll cover a tremendous amount of this country—expect to be amongst a group of like-minded photographers who will work hard to learn new techniques and get amazing imagery. You’ll be up early and up late, shooting sunrise, sunset, and northern lights. This workshop is all-inclusive and will feature plenty of instruction in the field and in the digital darkroom.
All the details regarding this workshop can be seen here. http://www.kevinpepperphotography.com/2018-iceland-workshop-in-march

My second trip will be in May. Here you can join me in Iceland to capture the perfect light, amazing landscapes and bird life in an arctic paradise during the midnight sun. Heck, I will even be joined by my very own Viking, Iceland pro photographer and guide, Skarpi Thrainsson.

Over this ten-day workshop you’ll explore and photograph the surreal landscapes, seascapes, fjords, waterfalls, mountains, lakes, rivers, birdlife, wildlife, and midnight sun that are the beauty of Iceland. This is a very small group, only 8 guests, and we’ll travel by our private 4x4 Sprinter we call the "Viking Mobile" with plenty of room for you and your camera gear.
We have planned two very exciting ventures to different puffin colonies, and this is a great time to photograph these colorful and comedic sea birds. Expect to be among a group of like-minded photographers who will work hard to learn new techniques and get amazing imagery—we’ll be up early and out late, because the days are long.
This workshop is all-inclusive and will feature plenty of instruction in the field as well as in our image reviews.
